Max is the Chief Comfort Officer at Pro-Tech Heating & Cooling in Grand Rapids, Michigan — a black lab in a red Pro-Tech cap who serves as the company mascot and community greeter. Inspired by one of the owner's real dogs, Max represents Pro-Tech's promise that every home gets the same crew, the same standard, and the same welcome on every single visit.

Max is a sturdy black lab with a wide grin and a red Pro-Tech cap that he wears like he was born in it, because in a way, he was. From his very first day on the job, Max made it clear he wasn't just a mascot. He was family.
There's no such thing as a stranger to a lab. Just friends he hasn't met yet.

While the Pro-Tech crew handles the technical side of keeping your home running right, Max handles something just as important — making sure you actually feel at ease from the moment they pull in the driveway.
He's been known to show up at community events, tail wagging before the truck is even in park, greeting kids, grandparents, and homeowners alike with the kind of calm confidence that says, “We've got you.”

Somewhere along the way, the Pro-Tech team noticed that Max had an uncanny knack for zeroing in on problems before the diagnostics did. A room running too hot. A draft sneaking under a door. A system working harder than it should.
Max would pad right to the source, sit down, and look back at the crew as if to say, right here. They started calling it his “Comfort Nose.”
